Haier Leads Global Home Appliance Market for 15 Consecutive Years
Haier Group has topped the global large home appliance brand retail volume again, marking the 15th consecutive year it has achieved this honor. Haier's refrigerators, washing machines, freezers, and wine coolers continue to lead the global market. Haier's major home appliance market share in China has reached 28.1%, while in North America, Haier's General Electric Appliances has become the fastest-growing appliance company for seven consecutive years. In Japan, Haier's refrigerators and washing machines have become the industry's annual share leaders; in Europe, Haier has achieved counter-cyclical growth against the backdrop of a declining home appliance market.
Haier Smart Home Achieves Rapid Growth in Overseas Markets
Haier Smart Home has rapidly grown in emerging markets by deepening localized supply chain construction and product structure upgrades. For instance, the opening of Haier's Egypt Eco-Park has helped Haier Smart Home grow and lead in the Egyptian and Middle East-North Africa markets; Haier Smart Home's proposed acquisition of Electrolux's South African water heater business will help expand the development of Haier refrigerators, washing machines, and other white goods in the South African market; the foundation laying of Haier Smart Home's air conditioning industrial park in Chon Buri, Thailand, will become the largest air conditioning production base of Chinese brands in Thailand and Southeast Asia after completion; the foundation laying of the second phase of Haier's Egypt Eco-Park, mainly producing boxes and freezers, with an annual capacity of 300,000 units.
Haier Smart Home's Impressive Overseas Market Performance
Haier Smart Home's overseas market has achieved sales revenue of 113.73 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13%; it has achieved an operating profit of 5.93 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 48.1%; the operating profit margin has risen to 5.2%, an increase of 1.2 percentage points year-on-year, significantly leading the industry's OEM level. In North America, more than half of the households have chosen brands under Haier Smart Home, and in Japan, Haier Smart Home's brand AQUA has made a splash in Ginza, shining a light on Chinese manufacturing.
Haier's Globalization Layout
Haier Smart Home's overseas market expansion has been significantly effective, with a "globalization, localization" strategy that covers many regions worldwide, especially in emerging markets such as South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East-North Africa. Haier has 10 R&D centers, 35 industrial parks, and 138 manufacturing centers globally, and since 2022, Haier's overseas revenue has exceeded its domestic revenue.
